If you are going to grow spiritually you have to know how to manage your money. You may not realize it but money management is a spiritual disipline. It has a profound effect on your spiritual growth. The Bible tells us that money is a tool and money is a test. One, money is a tool. It is a tool to be used for good. We are to use money and to love people. If you get that reversed, you're going to be in trouble because if you love money instead of using it you're going to start using people instead. It is also a test. It is a test of your character. It tests my faith, my priorities, my values, my responsibility. It tests all kinds of things in my life-my spiritual maturity, my faithfulness in other things like that. The Bible says that God is watching how you use what He gives you. Are you responsible? We've talked before that one day you're going to stand before God and He's going to ask you a couple of questions. One of them is "What did you do with what I gave you?" You need to be preparing for that question. First, What did I do with Jesus Christ? Second, What did I do with what God gave me?
