In this message Pastor Alan considers the "beast's deadly wound that was healed" of Revelation 13 and explains how this refers primarily to the Papacy.

Many Bible prophecies have dual or even triple fulfilments and history shows that there are several occasions on which the "beast" has received an apparently "deadly wound" - the collapse of the Roman Empire in 476 A.D., the Protestant Reformation and the French Revolution of 1789 with its aftermath, to name but a few. Pastor Alan shows how that at the present time the European Union is the most recent attempt by the Papacy to set up again the Holy Roman Empire and to extend its political power and influence.

Although the Vatican has been strengthened politically by this, nevertheless the Roman Catholic Church continues to be "stripped and burned" spiritually as many Roman Catholics come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and leave the system.
