In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, the messages to the seven churches as well as being messages to seven literal churches in Asia Minor at that time, also represent seven ages within Church history from the Apostle John's day up to the present time. Today, we are living in the age of Laodicea - a time of lukewarmness and religious apostasy.
In this last part of his series entitled the "Elijah-Jezebel Syndrome" Pastor Alan shows how the Church of Thyatira represents the Church of the Middle Ages when Roman Catholicism held absolute sway. This system is characterised by the woman Jezebel with the individual characteristics of Jezebel and Herodias now being exported out to a religious system.
Again we see, as history proves, a very dangerous and unholy union of civil and religious power. The conflict still rages today and as Pastor Alan shows, what we need today is an "Elijah Ministry" - in the same spirit and power of the prophet - to combat the Laodicean spirit of our age.
