The Elijah-Jezebel Syndrome - (2)
Speaker: Pastor Alan Campbell
Date: 4/9/2008
References: Malachi 4:4-6;Luke 1:5-25

In this series entitled the "Elijah-Jezebel Syndrome", Pastor Alan shows how the spiritual conflict that started in the days of Elijah has continued to have a manifestation through New Testament times and into our present day, even though the literal Ahab, Jezebel and Elijah have passed from the stage.

In this second part of the series he now considers John the Baptist, a man in the spirit and power of Elijah, whom the "Ahab-Jezebel" system of Herod and his wife put to death. As in the case of Elijah and Jezebel, the real quarrel was between John and Herodias but she was unable to do anything about it until that fateful opportunity presented itself as Herod was a weak man who feared John - just as Ahab, too, was a weak man who feared Elijah>

In this episode Pastor Alan shows the continuing conflict between the "remnant testimony" and the political-religious faction.
