The Remnant of Judah Revealed in Germany - (2)
Speaker: Pastor Alan Campbell
Date: 4/30/2003
References: Amos 9:8-9;Zechariah 12:7;Revelation 12

This is the second and final message in the series "The Remnant of Judah Revealed in Germany". In his first message Pastor Alan has explained that while Germany, in itself, is not an "Israel" nation, yet, nevertheless, there is a scattering of "Israelites" - especially of the "Tribe of Judah" - left in Germany.

One obvious link is the connection to the "Royal Line of David" in Britain through marriage. However, there are also other proofs of identification between people in Germany and the "Israel" of the Bible.

In this study, Pastor Alan shows that Heraldry plays an important part and provides yet another link between Germany and ancient Israel. He identifies many symbols and emblems - horse, lion, unicorn - which feature in German Coats of Arms and heraldic badges and which are particularly "Israelitish" in origin. In contrast to this, the "double-headed eagle" which so many associate with Germany, is, in fact, an "Assyrian" symbol which again proves the presence of differing ethnic and racial groupings in the area called Germany.

Pastor Alan also shows the key role that the land of Germany played in the Protestant Reformation. This was the home of Martin Luther and the land to which Tyndale fled fom England for sanctuary. During the "Thirty Years' War" when the land was drenched in blood, many Germans migrated to the United States. Lutherans settled in Georgia, Missouri and Michigan and many Americans today can trace their German origins.

As a direct response to the Reformation, Germany was also the source of much spiritual warfare. It was here that "Higher Criticism" arose in the Seminaries and Universities and laid the foundations of Bible-denying "Modernism".

Pastor Alan also mentions the fact that the Hebrew word "Judah" means "Praise" and out of Germany have come many of the great composers - Handel, Beethoven, Bach and Wagner to name but a few.

Pastor Alan points out that these three factors alone - Heraldry, Spiritual Vigour and Music/Praise - furnish additional evidence of Germany's links to the "Tribe of Judah".
