That Jesus made a marked impression on the people he encountered is indisputable. He made such an impression, that people he encountered could not explain his miracles, his way of life, and his teaching in terms of the natural, reaching instead for supernatural explanations. Is there a natural explanation to the life of Jesus? or are His origens truly supernatural? Was he the reincarnation of John the Baptist, who had just been killed by Herod? Or even the great prophet Elijah, coming again to proclaim the kingdom of God on Earth? Could the true explanation be something even more unbelievable and more revolutionary? Peter answered that Jesus was the Christ, and his life was never the same.
